Whatever happend to Sedition

The Left's War Against the Military At Home
By Rocco DiPippoFrontPageMagazine.com July 11, 2005

The latest attack on the U.S. by its Fifth Column enemies is aimed at stopping the Armed Forces from enlisting new recruits. Faced with a flagging anti-war movement, leftist agitators have shifted gears and are now subverting the War on Islamist Terror by trying to destroy America’s ability to maintain a fighting force. Though so far limited in success, this counter-recruitment movement is growing quickly and threatens to wreck America’s ability to defend itself from its enemies. more

An excellent read!

What is Sedition
Sedition is a deprecated term of
law to refer to non-overt conduct such as speech and organization that is deemed by the legal authority as tending toward insurrection against the established order. Sedition often included subversion of a constitution and incitement of discontent (or resistance) to lawful authority. Sedition may include any commotion, though not aimed at direct and open violence against the laws.
Because "sedition" is typically considered the subvert act, the overt acts that may be prosecutable under "sedition" laws vary from one legal code to another. Where those legal codes have a traceable history, there is also a record of the change of definition for what constituted sedition at certain points in history. This overview has served to develop a
sociological definition of sedition as well, within study of persecution.
The difference between sedition and
treason consists primarily in the subjective ultimate object of the violation to the public peace. Sedition does not consist of levying war against a government nor of adhering to its enemies, giving enemies aid, and giving enemies comfort. Nor does it consist, in most representative democracies, of peaceful protest against a government, nor of attempting to change the government by democratic means (such as direct democracy or constitutional convention). My Comments:
The last Sedition Act (1918) was repealed in 1921. Apparently the three Sedition Laws that were enacted in our past were controversial in their time, as would be today. But what these Moonbats are doing is treasonous.

Perhaps a new law addressing this issue should be debated and acted upon in the hallowed halls of Congress. Could you imagine the Democrats/Left in this bowl of alphabet soup (ABC, CBS, NBC, MSM)? This would be a direct attack on their moonbat base. Looney Toons on their end for sure! One great concern I have is the politicians of today on both sides of the isle passing an act of this significance.

DiPippo is correct in that if SCOTUS determines that the Soloman Amendment is unconstitutional, an all out campaign by these un-American seditious scum will certainly come. The next appointment to SCOTUS could very well determine the correct (conservative) outcome of this case. God help us if it’s a moderate appointment.
